Before & After Edits
Process Involved:
- Culling: The initial step is to go through all the wedding photos and select the best ones for editing. This involves removing duplicates, out-of-focus shots, and any other undesirable images.
- Color Correction: Adjusting the overall color balance, temperature, and exposure of the photos to ensure accurate and pleasing tones. This may involve tweaking white balance, contrast, saturation, and other color parameters.
- Exposure and Contrast Adjustments: Fine-tuning the exposure and contrast levels to ensure that the details in both the highlights and shadows are preserved. This step helps to enhance the overall tonal range of the image.
- Crop and Straighten: Cropping the images to improve composition and remove any distractions. Straightening and aligning the horizon or vertical lines, if necessary.
- Retouching: This step involves removing blemishes, skin imperfections, and other distractions. It may also include softening or removing wrinkles, whitening teeth, or enhancing eye details.
- Enhancing Details: Enhancing specific details in the image, such as sharpening edges, enhancing textures, or selectively adjusting certain areas for optimal visual impact.
- Dodge and Burn: Applying dodge and burn techniques to selectively lighten or darken specific areas of the image to create depth and emphasize certain elements.
- Background Cleanup: Removing unwanted objects, distractions, or people from the background to ensure a clean and uncluttered look.
- Noise Reduction: Reducing digital noise or grain in the image, especially in low-light or high-ISO situations, to improve overall image quality.
- Creative Editing: Applying creative filters, effects, or stylization to achieve a specific look or mood desired by the photographer or couple.
- Overall Style Consistency: Ensuring consistency in editing style and tone throughout the entire wedding album to create a cohesive visual narrative.
- Final Polish: Fine-tuning the edited images, checking for any remaining imperfections, and making any necessary adjustments to ensure the highest quality result.
